Snow, snow, go away

I thought I'd post some pictures of the house and yard after the big storm this week. I am sure that some of you are enjoying the snow, but I'm done with it. I wish it was gone and that it was spring already! Here are some of my favorites.

Here is my fabulous snow removal team! Complete with drinks of the day. They are sitting in the back yard. I thought the snow would be deeper, but alas its not.

Snow and ice on the tree in the front yard.

Here is a shot of the house from the street. I think the drift is cool on the porch roof.

Ice and snow again on the rose bushes in the backyard.
The patio in the back looks like it disappeared with the snow!

Its hard to believe that Blaine will be home in just a few weeks. It is exciting to think about it, but not real to me yet. I know he is getting excited about coming home. I think they are all pretty anxious and bored of being there. I know that it will be a weird adjustment, but still sounds like another adventure for he and I.
Not much new is going on in my world. School, piano, Perfects, Grad School all those kinds of thing. I'm sick of winter and ready for spring. Hope you are all doing well in the snow and gross salt stuff! I'll post again for sure when Blaine is officially out of Iraq. Its coming soon!!

It truly was a Happy Birthday.

You know I know that I'm blessed to have such great family and friends. But in case I was doubting that fact at all I was reminded all day long. This is the second year in a row I've spent my birthday without Blaine and I can still say that I did have a good day. Thank you to all who wished me a Happy Birthday! It was nice of you all to think of me. The flowers were the surprise of the day. They are from Blaine and I was actually totally surprised by them. I didn't think he was going to do anything for it! They are so beautiful though!
Thanks again everyone!

P.S. Sweetie I love you and I love the flowers. I can't wait till you are here to enjoy flowers with me!

40 days and nights

That's what we are about down to I guess in the countdown to 365 days. Sounds like the 38th will be home about the last week in February. Which is about the same time as my countdown. Sometimes I think about how long it is and think that I'm not going to make it. Other times it seems so short that I'm not ready. I'm more than excited at this point about hime coming home soon. Just thinking about it makes me smile. :) I know I'm a dork. There is also the reality of how hard it will be for both of us to make that transition. I know we can prevail though.

This week is the beginning of the next several that are really busy for me! It is hopefully going to help make the time go faster. Tuesdays are now piano nights. Which isn't so bad, but can be hectic depending on the week. This week for example is a dentist appointment, then piano, then the birthday dinner with the family. Wednesdays are offically booked until like May I think. I start classes on Wednesday nights starting this Wednesday through Xavier University. The classes will be at Norwood High School so that is nice. One is at 4:15 and one is at 7:00 and they are on education administration and the history of education. I think it will make for long days and probably boring nights sometimes. I'm not really looking forward to going back to school and having homework and stuff to do, but it is a neccessary thing so I guess I will bite the bullet. Thursdays for the next several weeks will be all about Perfects still.

Blaine is doing well still in Iraq. It is hard to believe how quickly things are moving along for them there! I have a timeline but don't feel that it is a great idea to post in on the web due to OPSEC so let's just leave it at that. I will let you know when they are on the move towards coming home, but until then just know he is safe where he is and they are winding down. He seems to be a little less bored perhaps but who knows.

Well I guess that's all for now. Hope you all have a fabulous week! Be safe in the snow and stay warm! Love you all!

P.S. I love you sweetie and I can't wait till you are here again! Hopefully the time goes quickly!
